Our Capabilities

Morsen can be contracted to work solely on building works and installation; we have the capacity, however, to take care of your entire project from start to finish. This is where we see customers saving the most in terms of time, effort and budget.
A typical turnkey project includes the following elements:
Scoping and Design

An accurate assessment of needs at the front end of a project can make all the difference to your budget and your timeframe. We put a lot of energy into consulting, scoping and design to ensure nothing is unaccounted for or overlooked.

Our experience means we’re able to assess every project analytically as well as intuitively – choosing the right pathways and acting decisively. At the outset of your project you will be given:

  • A clear scope of works
  • Firm pricing for the completed project
  • A detailed schedule for all critical stages of the project
Project Management

Organised and eagle-eyed project managers are integral to the success of any project. Ours are at the top of their game, making sure every task is mapped out, resourced and on track. They not only have the right industry knowledge and experience, they’re expert communicators and delegators, able to judge a situation and negotiate to ensure deadlines are being met. Our project managers:

  • Plan materials, equipment, people and logistics
  • Delegate appropriately
  • Are on-site for all critical stages of the project
  • Lead by example
Stakeholder Consultation

At Morsen we have a thorough understanding of the clinical space and the kind of work that must continue on around us. We work closely with Nursing Unit Managers (NUMs), Chief Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure our work does not compromise any control systems, such as infection control, or impact on any medical procedures planned or underway. Our wider stakeholders are always able to speak to us if ever anything needs to be addressed.

Our avenues for clear, two-way communication include:

  • Regular on-site planning meetings with NUMs to discuss upcoming work and reduce impacts
  • Weekly work notifications
  • Readily contactable project managers
Enabling Works and Construction

There’s a lot more to installing a major piece of medical equipment than most people consider. Accommodating machines that can weigh up to eight tonnes is where Morsen goes back to its roots, ensuring structural integrity and precision finishes at every turn. This might include:

  • Equipment decommissioning and removal
  • Electrical and plumbing work
  • Installation of suspension systems
  • Excavation
  • Construction of shielding rooms, equipment rooms, control rooms
  • Joinery and fitout
Warehousing and Transportation

Careful storage and transportation of such sensitive equipment is a crucial factor in the success of our projects. We work with the best sensitive freight and warehousing providers regularly, which enables us to offer premium logistics services at a greatly reduced cost compared to other providers. Our warehousing and transportation considers:

  • Co-ordination of specialised deliveries
  • Approvals and compliance
  • Traffic control and pedestrian safety
  • Out of hours deliveries
Equipment Installation

The business end of the project that sets us apart. Our quality control system and processes ensure every one of our installations is carried out to the same exacting standards.
